The PRADA Cup, the trophy created by Australian designer Marc Newson and built by master Florentine silversmiths, and awarded to the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team for winning the Challenger selection races at the 36th America’s Cup presented by PRADA, was displayed in Italy for the first time at the Venice Boat Show. A panel discussion at the show entitled ‘Luna Rossa and Il Moro di Venezia, the great Italian adventures in the America’s Cup’ featured Max Sirena and Gilberto Nobili – representing Luna Rossa – and Tommaso Chieffi, a member of the Il Moro di Venezia’s crew in the 1992 America’s Cup.
