Two imaginary piazzas, designed by AMO in the surroundings of Fondazione Prada, reveal the abstract energy of the public area: a symmetrical series of portals – lit by a red light – mark the threshold between the public space and an enigmatic porch beyond. An abstract statue of Atlas dominates the centre of both arenas. Sinuous graphics on the floor and walls trace objects and openings within the courtyard, while geometric flowers appear between the graphics, echoing the façades of Viennese Secessionist buildings. The relationship between the show and the audience that observes it from above is simultaneously detached and voyeuristic; models wander through the space, appearing and disappearing, following invisible trajectories that blur the boundary between the visible and the concealed.
