On the occasion of the Torre’s opening were organized, in Fondazione Prada, three events in which some of the most prominent international representatives of the world of art, culture, entrepreneurship, fashion and social took part.
On the 18th of April took place the inaugural dinner hosted by the Presidents of the Fondazione Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli and attended by the Artistic and Scientific Superintendent Germano Celant and the architect Rem Koolhaas, the Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala, the city’s Assessor for Culture, Filippo Del Corno, the artists Maurizio Cattelan, Thomas Demand, Peter Fischli, Michael Heizer, Damien Hirst, Carsten Höller, Goshka Macuga, Mariko Mori, Andreas Slominski, Luc Tuymans and Francesco Vezzoli, the architects and designers David Adjaye, Alejandro Aravena, Mario Bellini, David Chipperfield, Tom Dixon, Konstantin Grcic, Patrizia Urquiola, curators and museum directors Paola Antonelli, Francesco Bonami and Deyan Sudjic and the gallerists Massimo De Carlo and Jay Jopling.
On the 19th of April was organized a cocktail during which the guests were able to visit Torre and the exhibition ‘Atlas‘ inside the six exhibition levels; the event was attended by guests like Cristina Tajani, Inge Feltrinelli, Thomas Demand, Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset, Damien Hirst, Gianni Piacentino and Francesco Vezzoli, Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune, Stefano Boeri, Francesco and Paolo Favaretto, Asif Khan, Francesca Lanzavecchia and Hunn Wai, Italo Lupi, Britt Moran and Emiliano Salci, Carlo Capasa, Dean and Dan Caten, Heron Preston, Filippo Timi and Gildo Zegna.
The Torre’s opening cocktail was followed by the first event of the musical program in three segments ‘I Want to Like You But I Find It Difficult’, with Craig Richards and Ricardo Villalobos, with over 4000 guests, in the external spaces of Fondazione Prada.
