At the end of his first year as, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, Lorenzo Bertelli is sending an important message to all Prada Group employees, highlighting his wish to expand training on an essential aspect of social sustainability – diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) – on a global scale. DEI is a vital part of efforts to improve people’s personal wellbeing and working environment, and has recently been addressed and tackled at an international level, with an ever-growing number of companies discussing the topic. Prada contributed to the debate and reaffirmed its longstanding history of activism by launching its own DEI development plan. The founding of a Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council and the arrival of Malika Savell, who will be responsible for identifying the group’s at-risk areas and where it is performing strongly, are just the beginning of this process.
