In August 2019, the Prada Group signed the Fashion Pact, joining the coalition alongside other leading global luxury brands. During the Copenhagen Fashion Summit – one of the main international events dedicated to sustainability in fashion – held on 12 and 13 October 2020, CEOs of 60+ global leading companies from the fashion and textile industry, presented a report on the first year of activity to identify the first tangible targets focused on climate, biodiversity and ocean’s preservation. For the occasion, the Chairman of Prada S.p.A. Carlo Mazzi reaffirms: “The environmental issues that cloud our future are such that they cannot be addressed alone. For this reason the Prada Group has enthusiastically joined the Fashion Pact which represents a perfect example of today’s multilateralism. The spirit of this coalition is based on awareness, cooperation and solidarity on an international level, transcending local interests and pursuing the common good of humanity for this and future generations. So what should we be doing? We need to weave a network to connect the many oases of fraternity that exist in the world.”
Lorenzo Bertelli, Head of CSR of Prada S.p.A. confirms the Prada Group’s support to the coalition: “This first year of collaboration and exchange has enabled us to proceed more quickly in the processes of internal analysis and evaluation and to strengthen relations between company departments before starting to implement projects in the field that adhere to the principles of the coalition”.
