Patrizio Bertelli and Miuccia Prada, Prada Group’s CEOs, and Chairman Carlo Mazzi have donated two complete intensive care and reanimation units to each of Milan’s hospitals, Vittore Buzzi, Sacco and San Raffaele, supporting the city’s particularly difficult health situation, consequent to the wide and intense Coronavirus spread.
Moreover Miuccia Prada, with a personal donation to the LILT (The Italian League in the fight against cancer), has doubled the amount of lungs ventilators and surgical masks for the San Gerardo Hospital in Monza, one of the hubs of the COVID-19 in the region.
In China, Prada is also supporting the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation’s educational program aiming to improve the Chinese capability of handling public health emergencies.
Finally, the pastry Marchesi 1824 has donated 350 “Colomba”, the traditional Italian Easter cake, to the healthcare personnel of Milan’s hospitals and to “Pane Quotidiano”, a Milanese organization providing everyday free meals to the persons in need.
