December 2018 has seen a succession of new Prada stores opening in markets of particular strategic importance for the brand:
Prada Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi: located within the Mitsukoshi Nihombashi department store in Tokyo, this shop covers an area of over 160 square meters and houses the women’s leather goods, ready-to-wear, accessories, footwear, perfume and eyewear collections. The facade is clad in green Aver marble, surrounding the large entrance and windows, while the interior design features panelled walls covered in canvas in a range of greens, enhanced by marble display shelves. The furnishing is rounded off by green velvet Osvaldo Borsani chairs.
Prada Four Seasons: the shop in Macao has reopened in a new location, with a new image and an expanded floor area of 376 square meters. The facade is made of green Aver marble, while inside there is a black-and-white chequered floor, inspired by the historic Prada shop in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan. The first room is dedicated to the women’s leather goods, ready-to-wear and footwear collections, and features soft green velvet chairs and plexiglass display counters; the men’s area, meanwhile, has black Saffiano leather counters and grey velvet chairs.
Prada Harrods: another recent opening is the Prada menswear space in Harrods in London, which has moved to the second floor, a more prestigious area that is more in line with the image of the brand. The shop, with a floor area of over 140 square meters, has panelled walls covered in canvas in a range of greens and grey velvet chairs, and is defined by its black-and-white chequered floor, recalling the historic Prada shop in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan.
Prada T Galleria: the store in the T Galleria shopping centre (Hawaii) has reopened following a major restyling operation, and contains the women’s and men’s leather goods, accessories, fragrance and eyewear collections. The space stands out thanks to its classic Prada green walls and black-and-white chequered floor, inspired by the historic Prada shop in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan.
