The final event before the Shaping a Sustainable Digital Future conference saw proposals put forward by both students and lecturers from the schools of management of the Politecnico di Milano and Yale University.
The aim of the conference, to be held at Fondazione Prada in Milan on 20 November, is to involve the younger generations in coming up with ideas on the topic of digital sustainability.
The students’ projects were presented to a jury comprising both lecturers and representatives from Prada, and only three groups from the two universities, a total of eighteen students, with different academic backgrounds and of different nationalities, were invited to take part in the final competition, the Hackathon.
On 26 and 27 October, at the Yale School of Management, the three groups conferred for over fifteen hours, challenging themselves to develop new ideas and to suggest sustainable solutions using digital technologies.
The three projects presented at the Hackathon will be outlined at Fondazione Prada on 20 November, and one will be chosen to open discussions at one of the two round tables featuring key figures from the worlds of academia, industry and business.
