Having finished training and testing sessions in Cagliari with the new AC75, the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team is ready to move to Barcelona, Spain, to sail on the 37th America’s Cup racecourse in view of the first races that will kick off at the end of August.
The move to Barcelona brings to a close the long and intense work period in Cagliari, which has seen first the construction and development of the Luna Rossa Prototype, the launch of the AC75 and finally the sailing of this new flying boat.
Once in Barcelona, the team will enter the most intense and anticipated phase of this campaign, sailing in the same stretch of water as its opponents, prior to the start of racing.
Max Sirena, Skipper and Team Director of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, gave his farewell to Cagliari with a “see you soon” message, declaring that the team’s goal is to return to the Sardinian capital once the competition is over.
