After Working together for three years to protect the sea, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli and Ogyre have set the common goal of reaching a total of 16,000 kg of marine litter collected.
In the year that just closed, the partnership between the Italian challenger to the America’s Cup and the first global “fishing for litter” platform has already surpassed significant milestones through a series of broad initiatives aimed at raising public awareness about ocean pollution.
These include the “Sea Forward” program, consisting of educational, artistic, and scientific projects; the participation of team members in the “Team up for the Ocean” and “Ocean Spotlight” initiatives to emphasize the danger of microplastics in the sea and the “One human’s trash is another human’s treasure” workshop, organized at the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli base in Cagliari with international artist Max Lamb to promote the concept of circular economy.
Another shared project involves scientific research aimed at studying the effects of microplastics on the environment and our daily lives.
