In line with the sustainability principles pursued by the Group, the development of the projects for the latest Prada and Miu Miu fashion shows followed important results within the Re-Set initiative, which envisages the recycling and reuse of materials used for the fittings. For the Prada Men’s and Women’s S/S 23 shows, the set was made entirely out of paper rolls (white for Men’s, black for Women’s), the floor was covered with craft paper and the seating was commissioned to a company that makes cardboard furniture. Once the shows were over, all the discarded material was then sent to a paper mill that certified its recycling, for a total of 14,500 square meters of paper and 850 cardboard stools. For the Miu Miu S/S 23 fashion show in Paris last October, the challenging goal of reusing everything on the catwalk set was achieved, confirming the important partnership of recent years with the Réserve Des Arts. From the fashion show room, 1500 square meters of recycled rubber flooring, 900 painted polystyrene seats and all the wire mesh structures covering the columns and part of the walls were removed, thus ensuring that all the materials would be reused for other set-ups or activities related to the world of design and art.
