In October, the Prada Group welcomed leading global beauty brand L’Oréal – with which Prada has signed a multi-year licensing agreement – to its Milan and Valvigna offices for an induction programme.
Around thirty representatives of the French group’s marketing team made the journey to Italy, led by Yann Andrea, the general manager of the Prada Beauty division at L’Oréal. As well as allowing the various teams to finally meet in person, this was a chance for the visitors to become fully immersed in the Prada universe, teaching them about the history and distinctive features of the brand and giving them the opportunity to appreciate the quality of the products and the materials used to create them.
After a welcome from Lorenzo Bertelli, who highlighted the importance and ambitions of this new partnership, the team from the Beauty Licensing Office provided an engaging foray into the past, describing the evolution of the Prada aesthetic from the brand’s origins to the present day, with plenty of stimulating images and contents. This was followed by a tour of the Prada Galleria stores, offering further first-hand experience of the products and the brand’s history. Francesco Longanesi Cattani and Christopher Aaron Bugg kicked off the second day with a corporate presentation of the group and a detailed overview of the brand’s communication strategy. The day ended with a fun, creative activity, with members of the L’Oréal team asked to try their hand at creating a Prada total look, taking inspiration from everything they had learned over the two days and explaining their approach. The second part of the induction was held in Tuscany, where a small number of participants were shown around the archives and workshops at the Valvigna and San Zeno production sites. Overall, this was a constructive initiative that provided the perfect platform for developing joint future projects.
