Over 1,500 attendees to the UNESCO “Ocean & Climate Village” event, hosted at the Triennale Milano, in which the Prada Group participated with the Sea Beyond educational programme. Laboratories, debates, meetings with experts in the sector, and guided tours for all ages were conducted inside the educational pavilion. As part of the programme, the winner of the “Oceanthon” (digital hackathon) dedicated to the sea and the climate was awarded: the winner was the BlueSails project – selected by Lorenzo Bertelli, Head of CSR of the Prada Group, as juror – which aims to protect 30% of the Mediterranean Sea by 2030 by increasing the number of its Marine Protected Areas. The activists of the international environmental movement Fridays For Future Sara Segantin, Alessia Iotti and Victoria Alis, Delegate of the Seychelles Islands also took part in the Ocean & Climate Village. Among the guests: Ana Luiza M. Thompson-Flores – UNESCO Director for Science and Culture in Europe -, the architect Stefano Boeri – President of the Triennale – and the ocean-going sailor Giovanni Soldini. In the coming months, the Ocean & Climate Village will be present in other Italian cities.
