“I and the Stupid Boy”, the new short film of the Miu Miu Women’s Tales review directed by Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania, was presented at the Venice International Film Festival as part of the Giornate degli Autori, with the aim of “wanting to narrate an impossible love story”. The short film deals with some of the current issues that young women face: toxic relationships, self-esteem, technology, and intimacy: “It just takes a simple click to reveal a secret,” is at the heart of the narrative. A story about the power play between man and woman, the wrong connection that is sometimes created between sexuality and shame, told in a biting fashion, with a female touch. Short #21 by Miu Miu Women’s Tales, “Shangri-La”, was also presented. Directed by Isabel Sandoval, it debuted digitally on February 23rd.
