The new episode of the Remix project is dedicated to the Prada Group’s Archives in Milan headquarters. In the Ready-to-Wear historical archive, every piece is meant to last: all looks are photographed, catalogued and preserved in special fabric covers, while dresses with heavy embroidery or made of delicate materials are wrapped in tissue paper and stored inside dedicated boxes. The Fabrics Design Office represents an endless source of inspiration for the company: here thousands of fabric samples – stemmed from the research and development activity of the brands’ collections – are kept next to exquisite and rare pattern books from the Group’s suppliers. Last but not least, the Prada Group Library – originally established in Tuscany as a small collection of volumes and subsequently moved to Milan in 2001 – stores over 43,000 volumes, available to be consulted to inspire the research and the design development of the Prada and Miu Miu collections.
