The cinema programme “Perfect Failures” – featured on the curated streaming service MUBI – is the new way of participation of the audience conceived by Fondazione Prada during the temporary closure of its spaces.
The project is a journey through the failures and missteps of prominent directors and includes movies such as “Southland Tales” by Richard Kelly, “A Countess from Hong Kong” by Charlie Chaplin, “Fedora” by Billy Wilder “Night Moves” by Kelly Reichardt, “A Couch in New York” by Chantal Akerman and “Showgirls” by Paul Verhoeven. It proves that a movie’s original rating is not the final word on its true value, as happened to these films initially greeted with confusion, rejection and even repulsion.
It will be accompanied by a new section of Fondazione Prada’s website featuring original materials, native content reflecting on the experience of streaming and curiosities about the directors.
