Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2020 collection is an exploration of fashion as process, a dialogue between the wearer and her clothes: presented as canvas artist’s toiles, pieces are spontaneously hand-painted with abstract impressions of flowers, celebrating a proudly decorative point of view.
Upholding this idea of reinvention and personal approach still further, Miu Miu Hand Painted is a series of events taking place at select Miu Miu stores worldwide, where an artist will be on hand to customise every item of the collection – asymmetrically ruffled skirts, T-shirts, signature bag shapes, sneakers and ballerinas – with the clientele, who will be offered the opportunity to design with the painter a unique and totally personal wardrobe, in which they have immersed themselves.
Dedicated windows and in-store installations support the project and enrich the environment.
The Miu Miu Hand Painted was already staged at Miu Miu pop up in Isetan, Tokyo (5th of February, with painter Takuya Kamioka) and in Miu Miu New York 57th (7th of February, with Camilla Engstrom); next events are scheduled in London (New Bond Street – 13th of February) and Paris (Rue du Faubourg St. Honoré – 26th of February), both with artist Trinity Mitchell.
