To mark the 2019 Carnival celebrations, Marchesi 1824 is producing a selection of cakes with an almond paste topping, in the brand’s traditional pastel hues of pink, green, blue and yellow, decorated to represent various figures that appear on the masks that form part of the festivities. The traditional Torta Aurora is being decorated in the chequered costume of the most famous of these characters, the comic character Harlequin. The range is rounded off by traditional tortelli and chiacchiere biscuits, as well as brightly coloured Arlecchino biscuits.
Marchesi 1824 has also been working with the Liceo Artistico Orsoline (LAO) high school in Milan as part of the celebrations in the city. Students participating in the project were asked to let their imagination run wild and create animations and images that interpret the Carnival in true Marchesi 1824 style. Their work can be admired on the Instagram and Facebook pages of the historic Milanese patisserie.
