The seventh edition of Miu Miu Women’s Tales Conversations was held during the Giornate degli Autori at Venice Film Festival. The Conversations are debates celebrating women’s talent and creativity in the world of contemporary cinema.
Many of international cinema’s leading figures took part, including Kristine Froseth (Sierra Burgess is a Loser, Apostole), Stacy Martin (Nymphomaniac, The Tale of Tales ), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Beauty and the Beast, A Wrinkle in Time), Bel Powley (The Diary of a Teenage Girl, Mary Shelley) and Alison Sudol (Between Us, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them). The event was chaired by The Gentlewoman magazine’s director Penny Martin.
The Wedding Singer’s Daughter, the sixteenth short film in Miu Miu’s Women’s Tales project, directed by Saudi director Haifaa Al-Mansour, was previewed on Sunday, the 2nd of September .This was followed by a screening of the previous short film in the project, Hello Apartment, authored by the actress Dakota Fanning.
Miu Miu Women’s Tales Conversations took place on 3rd and 4th September at the Hotel Excelsior in Venice Lido, in the Spazio Regione Veneto.
