To mark Art Basel, the patisserie Marchesi has launched its first pop-up store, dedicated to artisan gelato, in the Miami Design District. It offers a modern interpretation of the traditional 1950s ice cream truck, allowing customers to enjoy the experience of a classic handmade cone sat at small tables or wandering round the streets of the Miami Design District. Set in the new Paradise Plaza, Marchesi’s outdoor space recreates the style and spirit of the historic patisserie: one wall made of green Marmorino plaster, inspired by the interiors of Milanese houses, provides the backdrop for an open-air environment featuring jacquard bouquet graphics and a reproduction of the entrance and shop window of the store in Via Monte Napoleone in Milan. A white awning, typical of Italian open-air ice-cream parlours, and three tables with pink chairs complete the installation.
The pop-up will be open seven days a week for 60 days, from 11 am until 6 pm.
