The first stage of the industrial redevelopment of the Prada men’s shoe factory in Montegranaro, in the Marche region of central Italy, is now complete, with the renovation of a newly acquired building adjacent to the existing site.
This major project, managed by Prada’s Engineering department, involved the complete renovation of the interior, a total of 3,600 m², with a new connection built between the ground floor and the first floor and wide-ranging modifications to the outdoor environment, with the installation of a terraced system providing space for manoeuvring vehicles, 75 new car parking spaces and a new helipad suitable for night-time flying.
The next stages of the redevelopment plan involve transferring the raw material workshop to the first floor of the new building and creating two service laboratories for end product quality control, also on the first floor.
A new manufacturing workshop and a new staff canteen will be built once this process has been completed.
